Developed campgrounds are plentiful in Jefferson National Forest and all are within close proximity of hiking trails as well as lakes and streams. Camping, which has a 21-day limit, is permitted from early April to the end of October 31 and reservations can be made by calling the National Recreation Reservation System at 877-444-6777.
